Dean graduated from Lamar University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication. He graduated from the University of Tulsa School of Law with honors in 1994. He is currently a partner with Templeton & Brinkley. His civil practice is split between civil litigation and transaction work. He also servers as general counsel for many businesses in the southeast Texas area, in which he resides.
